Kmotion aka Puks
My animation journey has been unconventional. While studying at the National Institute of Design (India), I was initially advised against pursuing the medium. Still, I forged my own path, moving between sketchbooks and 3D software, resisting the rigidity of the traditional animation pipeline. The structure often felt too limiting, as though it might stifle the spontaneity and intuition of my work. I believe an artwork should remain open to change until the very last frame. Though I always knew I wanted to create animation, I never aligned with the frame-by-frame methodology. Instead, I found a way to work around it while preserving the essence. This non-linear approach has allowed me to create art that feels both intuitive and deeply personal. To me, art has always been more than just a craft. It has been a refuge during personal loss, a means to process memories, and ultimately, a form of independence.
I began my professional journey in 2018 with smaller projects in poster design, lyric videos, cover art, and music videos, gradually evolving from freelance work into a more defined artistic practice. It was during the pandemic that I immersed myself in Blender 3D and discovered a way to express my art to the world. Over the past few years, I have built my career independently, and it is now beginning to step into the gallery space.
