This artwork (2024) captures a deeply personal moment from a trip I took with my then-partner to Hampi. Even though we were surrounded by a beautiful, calm, and serene landscape, with a river right outside our room, there was an emotional undercurrent of tension and the anticipation of an ending.
On the table, I included a little maze puzzle, something I used to create for my partner because they loved solving them.
In essence, this piece is a reflection of that bittersweet moment: a beautiful place and a relationship that was still cherished, but with the awareness that it was coming to an end.
