“This Belongs to You” (2024) is a deeply vulnerable piece. Here, I depict myself giving a precious stone to my then-partner. Even though it didn’t feel right in the moment, I still chose to give away a part of myself that I hold sacred. The stone—a yellow sapphire, Pukhraj, is not just an object but my name, a gift from my mother that carries the weight of my identity.
